1D rock the house at the Nickelodeon's 25th annual Kids Choice Awards performing "What Makes You Beautiful," to a screaming house full of Directioners. Harry says...

"We've done the song on a few different shows now, so we just wanted to make this one as big as possible, and surprise the fans with the performance side of things. We've got a big production and we want the audience to get involve with us!"

Kelly Osbourne gives the boys an enthusiastic review by saying...

"They are so amazing and they are so lovely an it makes me so happy, its like the Brit's taking over! I love it!

Niall also announces that 1D would like to have a new book out by 2013. He says...

 "We loved working on Dare To Dream an wanted it to be as personal as possible so that the fans could get more of a feeling of who we are. Were going to the same lengths for our new book and really hope to give our fans something new and special. For us the most important thing is that our fans love and are happy with anything we put out, so this is a really important release for us. We cant wait to finally get working on it!"

Up All Night officially bows at #1 on the U.S. Billboard album chart, making One Direction the first British/Irish band in the U.S. chart history to enter at #1 with their debut album. With this note they then got a spot saved for them in the Guinness Book Of World Records. Even the Beatles, with which 1D is frequently compared, only a #2 debut in the US with their 1964 debut, Introducing... The Beatles.

The Larry Stylinson rumors start to gain traction in the media :since Harry an Louis once lived together as room-mates, some fans (and probably non fans) started to spread rumors that they were in a relationship together...Do you ship Larry Stylinson? During a radio interview, Liam says...

"The fans actually make these things up. Its quite cute, actually. Its funny. They make these things like bromances between us, like, mold our names together."

British TV presenter and former Harry paramour Caroline Flack breaks her silence about her romance with Harry Styles. She says...

"Everyone had an opinion on me and Harry, which was the hardest thing

She was talking about the unwanted scrutiny that the pair endured (largely because of the 13-year difference in their ages) she also added...

"I suppose they're entitled to their opinions, but it was really tough. I learned very difficult lesson, but I suppose looking forward it isn't a bad lesson to learn, is it? In the future, the easiest thing is that I keep it to myself. I cant believe how much attention there as on me."

Proving there was no hard feelings , she later tweeted on the bands U.S. success. She tweeted...

That same day, soon after Caroline's tweet, a photo of Harry runs showing him next to a massive poster of Kim Kardashian and he stuck a post-it note that says "Call Me, Maybe?"

Paul McCartney and Elton John

Rumors fly that One Direction will play Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee Concert on June 4. The show's organizer, Gary Barlow, says that he hopes to confirm the band's appearance by the end of April; they'd play alongside such heavyweight talents as Paul McCartney, Elton John, Tom Jones, and Ed Sheeran. Harry remarks...

"Id love to meet Her Royal Highness. And I grew up listening to the Beatles because my dad used to play them over and over again. I still listen to them now. They're quite an inspiration. It's be amazing if Paul McCartney was up for doing something -- I love him. That would be incredible. We've got big plans , but I'm sure anything would be struck out of the diary if an invitation came along."

Unfortunately, conflicts with One Directions U.S. schedule ultimately prevent their inclusion at the event from happening. Aww :(

One Direction announces details of its first headlining tour of the states, which begins on May 24 in Fairfax, Virginia, and wraps up in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on July 1. The boys also clear up the rumors that they will be staring on their own TV series for Nickelodeon. Niall tells MTV News...

"We've just been doing stuff with Nickelodeon. They've been brilliant to us; they've been really good to us. But there's no sign of a TV show. We haven't heard anything.  We're obviously doing the Kids Choice Awards and stuff, but there's no deal been done or anything [for a show]. They're just kind of helping us out, I suppose.

Niall later added that they had a great time filming  their guest spot on the networks iCarly, he said..

"We had a lot of fun doing that.  First time we've done any acting, by the way, and if it comes out bad, we're very sorry! But we think it's going to be really fun _ it was really fun to make. And all the cast, it was really easy to work with them. They made us feel really comfortable. After a couple of takes, it was quite easy.

Niall started talking about the Kids Choice Awards. He calls them..

"the biggest night on Nickelodeon, and all the big stars are going to be there. When we found out it was just us and Katy Perry performing we were like  'Geez, this is a big deal!'"

Louis...HAHA!

All the touring, flying around, and interviewing is really bringing the boys down and they all seem to be getting homesick, and just sick! Today in an interview Harry says...

"It's all the traveling and long distance flights. Four of us had to have vitamin jabs because we were run down. I do get homesick too."

Niall adds...

"This is the longest weve ever been away from home and it's hard. We miss our families, we miss our friends. We get homesick, massively so."

Liam agrees and says...

"There's a part of me that occasionally wants to go back to Wolverhampton and just chill out, play the fields, be normal again. I know how incredibly lucky I am, how privileged I am to be doing this. It is all massively exciting. I would never want to sound ungrateful to anyone, especially the fans."

Niall in NYC before he got mobbed by fans

Still feeling the after effects of the Today appearance, 1D find themselves trapped indoors. Police were called twice to their hotel to provide added protection! Niall get's mobbed as he tries to get some pictures of Times Square. Poor Niall ... :(   The boys are ordered to stay indoors. A witness at the hotel says...

"Fans were crying and shaking when they heard when they caught a glimpse of the band. It was very surreal. Others were banging on the windows, and the hotel managers were worried they would smash the glass."

A for Toda, the show announces that the TV audience watching was sic times higher than when Justin Bieber performed!

"Up All Night" deluxe edition

Today is another crucial date for 1D history, as "Up All Night" album is released in the U.S. Thanks to a large part of the Today appearance (March 12, 2012), "U All Night" deluxe edition debuts at #1 on the U.S. iTunes album chart. With the album's standard edition close behind at #2.

The boys spent the day doing radio interviews; during one with New York's Z100, Zayn says of returning to the band...

"They made me feel really good actually. When I was a t home and stuff they were really supportive, and then when I came back they were still really behind me."

Niall admits that Zayns absence on stage effected him particularly. He says...

"I missed him singing his parts, because his parts are hard to sing!"

Liam adds...

"That was the one thing we really struggled with. We had to change parts around and people had to sing Zayn's part obviously we all know that Zayn has got a brilliant voice, so it was difficult to do that. I had to do one of his parts and I was so nervous. There was one part of the show were me and Harry forgot who was singing it, so we both sang at the same time in unison!"

1D performing on NBC's Today show

On this day the U.S. officially comes down with One Direction Infection when over 15,000 fans show up to see One Direction perform on NBC's today show. This great number of fans can only be compared to Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, and Chris Brown. The fans crowded Rockefeller Plaza and spilled into the surrounding streets.

The boys showed up on an open top bus, one similar to the one shown in 1D's music video to "One Thing". They performed "What Makes you Beautiful" "More Than This" and "One Thing" on a white stage complete with white arena style back-lights. Asking about his relations with the band mates during a break in the action, Zayn answers...

"I think obviously since we got put together, we made four best friends. For us, that's the most amazing part. The only downside is we don't get to see our friends and family as much as we'd like to."

Zayn was asked what he liked most about American girls and he replied...

"They're very, very loud."

Harry also added...

"While we originally hoped to be solo artist, being in a group has proven that was the best thing for all of us."

After absenting himself from the group for several days due to his aunt passing away :( and rejoins his band mates for the final dates on "Better With You" tour with Big Time Rush. Zayn tweeted...

The band finally reaches its three millionth Facebook fan. The page was originally created in September/October 2010 during the U.K. xfacter series, when the group was first put together. Rumors that the resulting group would be called "New Direction...Can you imagine "ND"?! The rumors were then cleared up and they, obviously, kept the name One Direction, which they were never even thinking about changing their bands name.

The month ends on a sad note, with the news that Zayn's aunt passed away :( Harry tweeted...

"Zayn has suffered a loss in his family & has had to go home for a few days so wont be at our next shows  in the US our thoughts are with him and his family at this sad time."

Minutes after Harry's tweet, Twitter is streaming with sympathy for Zayn and his family. The trending topic was #StayStrongZayn and it made the top list.. Zayn retweeted a fans massage...

"God has no phone, but I talk to him. He has no Facebook, but he is still my friend. He does not have a Twitter but I still follow him."

Today Thousands of Directioners pilled outside of Toronto headquarters of canadien TV channel Much Music as the boys sit for an interview inside.  It was so crazy that city officials had to close down the street outside the building, with the channel later announcing that it has reveived the largest amount of ticket request ever for a show, over 17,000!  Niall reacts by tweeting...

Keeping their promise that the band would finally play Australia and New Zealand, Harry tweets...

"Hi 1D Aussie and Kiwi fans!! We're definitely coming to Australia and New Zealand! Keep an eye out!"

Harry's tweet is later confirmed when several April 2012 dates in the territory are announced .

 The band also joins Big Time Rush in Chicago as opening act  for BTR's "Better With U" tour. However when One Direction would leave the arena after opening up, hundreds of BTR fans would chase after 1D!

Today there was for drama for Harry at The James Small And Vauxhall Fashion Scout Party.. His ex-girlfriend also attended this vent , Caroline Flack. Tabloids Report  that Flack "Made hasty exit from the bash when she became aware of Harry's presence.

Meanwhile One Direction makes its U.S. presence  definitively felt when  "What Makes You Beautiful" debuts at #28 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart- the highest debut for a U.K. acts U.S. single since the Verve's "Bittersweet Symphony" in 1998. The last U.K. act to see its first U.S. single chart higher than 1D was the Space Girls' "Wannabe" which landed at #11 in 1997.             xx.

The boys at the train station

Today was crazy Day for the boys of 1D! They had a bit of a scare from Overzealous fans at Paris Gare Du Nord train station in Paris. The fans attacked the boys! Harry tweeted...

"Hahaha Liam lost his shoe in the station. That was crazy!! Thanks for coming to see us "

"These things happen... part of what its about... it was really cool today in Paris, and as Directioners always do... come out in hundreds... if I ever look nervous... its coz I hate tight spaces... but don't worry, its all cool at my ends."

Poor Niall! Many Directioners worldwide were very concerned about the boys getting injured and mad at the insane fans. People were tweeting things like "What happened today in Gare Du Nord Paris was terrifying!" and "These fans need to stop being Psychotic!"

The 1D boys said that they are so impressed with Ed Sheerans "Moments" (Featured on Up All Night)
they decided to use him again on their new album coming out in November. Liam says...

"Ed is such a talented guy. We spoke to him about helping again with the next album, which we actually want to write with him this time."

Louis added...

"We want to take the next album into a different zone--more guitars and grungier. We like the sound of the real guitar on tour; we beefed up the live show so now we want to take it onto the album."

Today One Direction Performed at the 62nd San Remo Song Festival, held at Italy's Ariston. They performed "What Makes You Beautiful" on day four of the festival.

The band also posted a video featuring Louis interviewing Louis and Niall, asking them questions sent by fans. Niall confesses that if he wasn't in the group he'd be a dentist, while harry, asked what body part of him he would like to change answers, "My ears." Harry also ended up punching himself in the face during one question he had a hard time answering! HAHA! Aww poor Harry!

Today Louis and Liam had an interview with Scholastic magazine and they asked Louis about the "Carrot story" he answered...

"When we first started out, we did a video diary and they asked what I like in a girl, and all the other boys gave really standard answers like, you know 'a girl with nice eyes,' 'a girl with nice colored hair' and I just thought it would be quirky and a little bit funny to say something completely random. So I went with, 'I like girls who eat carrots,' Since then people have thrown carrots at us on stage, which, by the way, are quite hard! People have just offered them as gifts, which is good. But yeah, that's the carrot story. Now I wish that I said expensive cars!"

Scholastic magazine asked Liam what the weirdest thing he has ever been asked and he replied...



"Yesterday this girl asked to lick my face. That was really random. I felt very uncomfortable.*everybody laughed* "Yeah she was like 'Can I lick your face' and I was a bit like 'you cannot lick my face,'

     While at an interview with Life Story Niall admitted that he doesn't have a valentine, but after filming ICarly his dream valentine is Miranda Cosgrove. Do you ship Niranda or Miall? Zayn says "Maybe I have a Valentine maybe I don't..." Harry admits that Louis is his valentine is Louis and says that his band member is "quite cute" awww!
     The interviewer then asked Harry about his breakup with his former girlfriend Caroline Flack. Harry said "Other people didn't want it to work, in the end we just gave up on it." he later added "She is one of the kindest sweetest people I know."

Today One Direction performed their two hits "What Makes You Beautiful" and "One Thing" on British competition show Dancing On Ice. The venue Elstree  Studios had to triple the amount of security because of all the crazy 1D fans!
The program said in a statement...

"The producers are very concerned that thousands of fans will storm the studio. That cannot be allowed to happen at a live show."

The boys were in Los Angeles at the time and booked Harry a massage. While he was relaxing they all ran in and dumped four buckets of ice cold water on him. HAHA
